About Us
Founded in 1997 by Tim Wilson, Wilson's Wildlife Solutions (WWS) is a community-funded organization based in Boring, Oregon. Our mission is to provide compassionate care and rehabilitation for local wildlife, including those with unusual or anomalous traits. We believe every creature deserves a chance to thrive, and we're dedicated to ensuring that happens.
Our team comprises ecologists, veterinarians, animal control specialists, and passionate volunteers who work tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and release animals back into their natural habitats. Whether it's a common raccoon or a creature with more mysterious qualities, we're equipped to handle it with care and professionalism.
While we operate independently, we occasionally collaborate with organizations like the Species Conservation Project on specific cases that require joint expertise. These partnerships are project-based and do not define our primary operations or mission. Our focus remains on serving the wildlife and communities of Oregon through education, conservation, and hands-on care.
At WWS, we're more than just a wildlife center; we're a family of dedicated individuals committed to making a positive impact on the environment and the creatures that inhabit it. Come visit us, volunteer, or participate in our community programs to learn more about the incredible work we do.

📚 The Legacy of Tim Wilson
Tim Wilson, a former park ranger and lifelong advocate for animal welfare, founded Wilson’s Wildlife Solutions with a simple mission: to help the animals others wouldn’t. From the very beginning, Tim believed that every creature (no matter how unusual) deserved care, dignity, and a second chance.
From a small cabin near the Clackamas woods, Tim personally responded to calls about cryptids, hybrids, and creatures too strange for traditional agencies. He earned a reputation for compassion, resourcefulness, and the kind of quiet bravery that doesn’t make headlines but changes lives.
Though Tim passed away in 2019, his vision, ethics, and stubborn optimism continue to shape everything we do. His legacy lives on in every rehabilitated animal, every cautious field intern, and every strange call we still answer with, “We’re on our way.”
🌲 A Community Affair
WWS is a local operation, powered by community support and run with love. From school visits to wildlife safety seminars, our outreach is a big part of what we do. We aim to foster understanding, not fear—especially when nature gets weird. And it does, sometimes.
